Ink Sweat and Tears is pleased to announce its new on-line feedback service with IS&T editor and Bloodaxe poet Helen Ivory. Helen has published four collections of poetry, her latest being Waiting for Bluebeard (May 2013). She has over twelve years teaching experience including for the Arvon Foundation and the Poetry School, and runs surgeries for The Poetry Society in the UK.
Email us your poetry and a 200 word commentary on where you are with your work, and usually within three weeks she will aim to get back to you with feedback on the poem texts and advice on ways forward with your writing. We cannot promise that her critiques will always be effusive, but they will be constructive and never harsh or unfair.
Our charges are as follows:
Single poem (30 lines maximum): £20
200 lines of poetry (excluding titles): £80
400 lines of poetry (excluding titles): £150
Please pay via Paypal using your surname and the date as a reference (for example, SMITH151112) then email your poem(s) as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org with the reference IS&T FEEDBACK/(your payment reference). [please cut and paste email address - it's a spam avoidance technique...]
You will be directed to Paypal account BIRCH C M IST.
If you would prefer to pay via BACS please contact Kate Birch at email@example.com. Please let us know, too, if you have any problem with the Paypal button as we have had reports of being redirected not to Paypal but to another IS&T page.
And if flash fiction or short stories are more your thing, we can arrange feedback for that too.
